iele world was initiated by Oana Tudose as a textile art research project that focuses on discard sheep wool from Romania.
Sheep wool is a season renewable material and extremely undervalued in the mountain regions of Romania. In other words every year tons of wool are thrown away or burnt.
By exploring the wool fiber through traditional working methods iele world creates textile works that investigate themes of mythology and cultural identity.
