Natural and acid dyed wool, hand spun yarn

Tapestry inspired from the Romanian mythological story with the same name representing the feminine ideal deity. The piece refers directly to elements of a floral nature by examining the idolatry of the feminine ideal through the perception of fragility. The floral details are made with discarded sheep wool from Romania dyed with various pigments of natural and acid origins while the backdrop is a salvaged textile over half a century old.
