The dance of the iele nymphs 2019
Natural and acid dyed wool, hand spun yarn.
Textile art work that reproduces the conceptually frenetic and ephemeral dance of the iele nymphs, through chromatic tensions and rhythmic textures. This tapestry mimics the brushstroke technique used in painting. The dance is formed out of five individual pieces that together form one unity. The execution technique is wet felting, a traditional processing method using materials such as discarded natural wool and colored wool with the help of artificial pigments.
